time

Have you ever given any thought to time? Sometimes time goes by fast and at other times it's slow, so slow, to slow, is it ever going to end slow.
And, we're all running out of time... living on borrowed time.

Oh how nice, Kansas's dust in the wind is on the radio....

What is the difference between just in time and on time?
I work a 12 hour swing shift that starts a 7 and ends at 7, 7am 7pm, 7pm 7am, no matter 7 to 7.
We get a break every 2 hours for a half an hour, 30 min's. 9, 11, 1, 3, 5 but it's every 1.5 hours that our break comes, no? I return at 9:30, 11:30, 1:30, 3:30, and 5:30...
Also, it seems like it's forever for the break to get here and it's over like that... 1/2 hour that was fast.
That say time runs on a time line, mine is like a cork screw...
And gravity seems to have a pull on my time. The hour hand is at 12 high and it quickly goes to half past and then it seems to take forever to get back to the top of the hour, gravity is pulling it down.
My days are like that as well... they start off at 6am, when the alarm goes off and quickly run down to 6pm and then begrudgingly back up to 6am. Which would explain why the night shift is so slow, gravity... but then again how does one explain how time flies by when one sleeps??
The year is the same, with Jan at the top with the months passing gently downward and bottoming out the end of june into july and turning slowly upward late august working up to a new year and so on. I guess the years stack up behind me like miles driving down a highway.
In the end, time and life is like the last firework on the night, a bright streak of light going straight up into the night sky only to go out in a flash and then darkness....
There you have it, time in a nut shell or from a nut...
and it's time to finish this off...

monday

well monday was kind of a wasted day, having to work tonight I slept late and then took a nap around 2pm. up 5pmish, dindin and the off to work a 6.
Doggie dog wanted out monday morn around 9 so that's our starting point.
That was our 1st hour, him running his ass off, fun times, if you're a dog.
Back at home I have some leftover snow blowing to do. In my hurry to get to work sunday, all I cleaned was the driveway so now it's time to clean up the whole driveway, the neighbor lady's driveway and the sidewalks. Finishing that around noon, I take junior back to work.
Back home once again I check to see what the temperature is as I have the tree and all the fixings in the truck, 30, which is 20 degrees warmer than last thursday at which time the lock on the storage locker was froze. Lucky me, the lock opens, truck is emptied we're good to go.
While the I spy one of the kiddies seats with wheels, you know the ones, you put your kid in and they hot wheel around the house. It was Skys, I take it home to junior and his baby can use it. At 7mts she's at the almost de-cling-on stage, time for her first set of wheels. It's now home for a shower, load of laundry and to bed.
I guess the day wasn't a total waste now was it..

xmas at the in laws and bowling

Saturdays dining issues worked out ok..
There was plenty of peckeronie and pepper jack cheese left and crackers, with a couple of beers, all was good.
They had lasagna for dinner but I just ate the good stuff, I had the lasagna on sunday for supper.
Every other sunday we bowl, some guys from here at work and this is a bowling sunday.
My ball is in the truck where it's been for 2 weeks and it's been cold, teens cold. I forgot to bring it in this morning. I usually bring it in so it warms up it in my locker, me thinks it'll be a little cold, oh well. There will be beer and some witty banter, it'll be all good...
stay warm

feeding time at the zoo

I work a 12 hour rotating swing shift, 7 to 7, am or pm... so day shift is 7am to 7pm and nights is 7pm to 7am.
When I'm on days, for supper, I have today what they had yesterday.
Lunch is almost always the same, pb+j and yogurt, sometimes the yogurt is a mid afternoon snack.
So it works out like this....
11am, pb+j
1 or 3 pm yogurt
5 pm supper.
The night shift is different..
supper at home 5pmish..
yogurt at 1 or 3am and
bowl of cereal at 5am....
Today is different, you see friday nite is play date nite and on play date nite there is pizza and most times there isn't any leftovers so saturday it's buy your supper day.
There were leftovers... now I know there's pizza, pb+j and yogurt as well as a salad.
11am is here and I can go with pb+j or 1 pc of pizza or the 2 pcs of pizza and move pb+j out till supper... so many combinations...
so, 11 am... the 2 pcs pizza,
3pm pb+j with yogurt...
leaving me with a salad for supper, I'm already hungry.....
luckily and this is the reason I had the pizza first, the in-laws are doing xmas tonight....
and there will be food, most likely lots of food and snacks and beer....
so all is right in my world, as far as my dining schedule anyway....
so how are things where your at...

skanks and ho's

be careful out there in blog land boys and girls.
it seems that a model, a SUPERmodel is upset at a blogger for his or her blog and the comments about said SUPERmodel in said blog. she wants google to let the bloggers id be known so that she can maybe take legal action....
so be careful out there fellow blogger and bloggeretts and remember what they say,
what you say and/do may be used against you in a court of law...

things to remember

things I need to remember whilst blogging.

1. my own url, for when I'm commenting on or at other bloggers blogs.

2. open microsoft word to use for spell check at other bloggers blogs..

and now for something completely different...

We had to do two wakes today, one for a neighbor from the old neighborhood and the other for my wifes sisters husbands mother. Would that be my bro in laws mother?
The best part, if there is such a thing about wakes and attending them, they were at the same place.
Another good thing, one was from 1pm to 5pm and the other was from 4pm to 8pm, which worked out nicely as I'm working nights. I got to bed around 10isham and got up 3:30ish.
So we hit the tail end of the first one and the begining of the second.

Other things I notice about wakes....

Other than the obvious, it's easier to be on the greeting side of the line than it is being in the " I'm sorry for your lose" side.... I found that at Stephanie's, our daughter when she died.
Ya still don't know everyone, but it's easier to say thanks for coming and pass that person on than it is saying you're very sorry 10 or more times just like the guy or gal who just went in front of you.
Another thing is that the older the person is the lines are way shorter as is the wait. That most come with age, one gets to a point in ones life and most of your friends have passed on.

so, how was your day.

blogging

as long as I'm posting comments on other peoples blogs I should try to keep mine up to date just in case someone stops by to see who the hell this guy is....

xmas holidays

I was able to get my shopping done on monday and tuesday, couple of gift cards and money cards, for parents and nephews, wifiepoo had already done the hardcore gift shopping everybody else.
We did gifts the 24th at home with Sky, as that's when we get her, xmas eve. Mike, Kristen and Lilly came over as well. I got a new digi camera, I had been using Stephs, but it went through the wash and the flash didn't work. Great for outdoors, daytime pics, but wasn't good at all inside.
We do xmas dinner xmas eve at my parents, the whole clan and gifts for everyone too. After which we took Sky to her other grandparents and hung out awhile before heading home to await santa.
So new cam and there will be some new pix coming, someday.
